A company built on plastic
More than 50 years of experience in developing flexible plastic solutions
Fjordblink Plast was established in 1969 by Anders Tvedegaard as part of a larger group. Several of the companies have since been sold off
and after a generational change in 2015, Torsten Tvedegaard now continues Fjordblink’s plastic venture together with his wife Bitten.
Throughout all the years, the company’s focus has been on meeting customers’ completely individual needs for a solution.
that is tailored to the use, the environment, and the needs of our customers.
In recent years, through complex and exciting development processes, we have gained special expertise in the production of analysis bags and oil collection bags, which is leading to more projects within the industries that use these.
Tell us about your ideas, and we will help turn them into reality.

Questions and answers
How do you weld plastic?
At Fjordblink Plast, we use three different welding methods. Which welding method should be used for your product depends on the product’s purpose and the type of plastic from which it is made.
- High-frequency welding
The welding area on plastic items with dielectric properties is pressed together and exposed to a high-frequency electromagnetic field (13 to 100 MHz). The items are held together until they have cooled. - Heat sealing
In heat sealing, two identical types of plastic are welded together. Two or more layers of thermoplastic film are placed on top of each other. The heated electrode is then pressed against the plastic film in direct contact with a specific pressure. Wherever the heated electrode touches the film, the two or more layers will melt together. This welding method is used for many different types of film and purposes. - Impulse welding
With this welding process, two or more layers of thermoplastic film can be welded together. The machine closes the welding jaws around the film with a specific pressure and fixes the surfaces. A short heat impulse from the welding wire then melts the layers together, and the welds cool down while still under pressure. Impulse welding is a strong, clean, and fast welding method.

How do we proceed?
The first step is, of course, that you contact us and tell us about your ideas and needs. We will provide our recommendations based on many years of practical experience.
You will then receive a specific product description/drawing by email, which forms the basis for a meeting where we clarify the exact details of the collaboration.
Once that is in place, the actual product development and manufacturing begin in collaboration with you.
We deliver the product at the agreed time and in the agreed quality.
Contact us today — and your idea could soon become reality.
Which type of plastic do you recommend?
The type of plastic naturally depends on how your product will be used. This places technical requirements on the type of film — for example:
- Water- or airtight plastic film
- UV-resistant plastic film
- Plastic film that is resistant to chemicals
- Plastic film that is approved for food contact
Together with you, we determine the right type of plastic for your purpose. We are happy to advise you on this.

How small production runs can you handle?
In principle, we can produce in very small series, but to achieve a reasonable price, your product series should generally be ordered in larger quantities.
Can you produce in a cleanroom?
We do not have cleanrooms in our production facilities, and therefore we cannot manufacture plastic products that require cleanroom production. You are of course still welcome to contact us for sparring and guidance. We may still be able to help you further.
